The wait grows longer for Tollywood fans as two highly anticipated films Pawan Kalyan’s Hari Hara Veera Mallu and Vijay Deverakonda’s Kingdom face fresh delays, dashing hopes of their scheduled summer releases.
Originally set to release on June 12, 2025, Hari Hara Veera Mallu is now unlikely to meet the deadline due to ongoing post-production work. According to Indiaglitz Telugu, the film is still in the editing phase, with heavy VFX sequences yet to be completed. While July 4, 2025, is being speculated as the new release window, the filmmakers have not issued any official confirmation.
Simultaneously, Vijay Deverakonda’s Kingdom first announced for May 30, and later pushed to July 4 is also reportedly facing further postponement. Industry sources cite ongoing reshoots as the reason behind the delay, leaving its final release date up in the air.
The back-to-back delays of these two big-ticket films have triggered frustration among fans, many of whom have taken to social media to express disappointment. Several users criticized the lack of transparency and the repeated shifts, calling the management of these releases “unprofessional.”
Why Hari Hara Veera Mallu Is One of 2025’s Most Awaited Films
Set against the backdrop of the Mughal empire, Hari Hara Veera Mallu is a period action-adventure centered around a rebel outlaw’s mission to steal the legendary Koh-i-Noor diamond. Initially directed by Krish Jagarlamudi and later completed by A.M. Jyothi Krishna, the film features an ensemble cast that includes Bobby Deol, Nidhhi Agerwal, Nargis Fakhri, Nora Fatehi, and Satyaraj.
Production began in 2020 but has faced repeated interruptions due to the COVID-19 pandemic and Pawan Kalyan’s active political engagements. The film is rumored to be the first in a franchise series and has generated immense buzz for its scale, narrative, and visual effects. Pawan Kalyan will also appear in They Call Him OG, scheduled for September 25, 2025, further raising the stakes for a packed year.
